Master Study

This was one of the homework assignments for the portrait class I am taking now.

Quick Study

"Tomato"

9"x12"

Pastel on Paper

This quick study was done late at night. I felt the sudden urge of painting before going to bed so I went to the kitchen, grabbed the tomato and put it on my orange comforter...
This was the resulting piece.

First Oil Painting Posted

"Clown"

18"x24"

Oil

This piece was done from a photograph for a contest to win Cirque du Soleil tickets...

After participating in the contest (and winning :)), it was donated to the United Way Auction at FIU (Florida International University), and it is now in a private collection.

I don't particularly like clowns, but I enjoyed painting this one.

"Loneliness - Van Gogh's Chair"

This is one of my personal favorites.

It was done from a photograph I took of the room where Van Gogh passed away. I believe I was able to capture the atmosphere of the space. I can just picture the artist living there...

This was the most emotionally charged part of my trip to France. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I did.

Granadillas

This piece is hanging in my aunt's house in Colombia. Granadillas are a very delicious fruit and are cousins of passion fruit.

These were done in pastel, 12"x16"

This painting is not for sale, but if you would like to commission something similar, write me an e-mail at wx.studio@hotmail.com!

Credits for the picture go to Gustavo Ordóñez.

Assisi

"Assisi"

18"x 24"
Pastel on Paper

Two hours and a half from Firenze, Assisi is one of the places I have to visit again!

Tree

Here is a little experiment I did with illustrator... As you can see, I absolutely love color...

If you are interested in a print of this let me know.
