Tata Gala

I am proud to announce that this piece, along with "Femininity" (which was posted some time ago) are going to be shown at the 2009 Tata Gala taking place in the Digital Three Gallery in Sarasota Florida. It is a show about breasts in benefit of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which supports research about breast cancer.

I am making plans to attend the opening, it would be really cool to see you all there...

Two Orchids

Pomegranates

I arranged this still life to include a little bit of a Chinese influence, but I did not want to make it "overtly Chinese."

Offering

This painting is from a picture I took at the Jade Buddha temple in Shanghai. It was placed in one of the altars on the first floor.

Monkey King

Before entering the Peking Opera, we got a chance to see the performers applying their make up. Besides knowing their performances by heart they also need to learn the art of decorating their faces... It was a very cool thing to see... No make up artists here!
